Dude averages the highest yards per punt in the SEC, and if you accounted for the leading amount of punts times his average, he would have just over 3,000 yards respectively. In other words, that case considered, he would lead the SEC in nearly every punting category We would probably have about 2-3 losses if it wasn't for our punter.

I mean.....

1. Amari Cooper
2. Blake Sims
3. JK Scott????

He's awesome.

It's weird playing Alabama and having y'all be good on Special Teams.

False. We're awesome at punting and tackling on special teams.

Coverage and kicking especially are a little subpar.

In the games against LSU, punting is so important. Also place kicking.

It's weird that you guys have a good punter.

He has definitely been a difference maker... his punting has taken up the slack for the place kicking game.

did he get a scholarship out of HS, can't remember? if so, he's definitely the best offered kicker we have had under Saban.

I thought he was a walkon but I honestly don't know.

He had a 66 yarder against LSU didn't he? He has punted over 60 yards a few times this year. Dude is a 7 foot 92 lb beast.

Pretty sure he is on scholarship. Getting snaps from a scholarship long snapper as well which is even more rare I believe. Mazza had some great tackles against LSU in dst.

I'd say Reed and Ragland are better. Scott has probably been more consistent from the beginning of the season though.

Kind of funny that a lot of people were worried about how terrible the punting looked back in the spring before he was on campus.

It was bad. Alec Morris was the punter.

Oh, and how could I forget Big Cam? I don't think he played all that well against State but he's been at worst our second best player.

Cameron Robinson is better than about 4 people on that list. I would have him second behind Cooper.

On the team is a bit much obviously for any punter.

But at times he's definitely been one of the most valuable players giving some of the offensive struggles as of late.

So change the question from best to most valuable and you've got a legit debate.
