Georgia coach Mark Richt and Gurley’s teammates claimed afterward they did not know the seriousness or extent of the injury. But sources familiar with the situation said that the news the worst possible for a star tailback — a season-ending knee injury.

No great Georgia player can ever finish a season it seems, so this would make sense. Are we leading the NCAA in torn ACLs over the last 2 years?

That sucks for him. Im glad he showed he was really part of the team and came back to play instead of sitting and waiting on the draft, but just DAMMIT

My daughter has had three surgeries for a torn ACL. On the last one the MRI showed a tear and the drawer test showed some movement; however once inside the knee it was just stretched slightly. When I saw Todd's knee moving it didn't look like the same movement that I'd seen them be able to make her knee move but it did look a little loose. I hope he has not torn the ACL.

Well, it wasn't a great end but I, for one, will always be grateful for having the opportunity to see #3 tear through defenses like tissue paper. Hate it for him and I hate it for Georgia. But he's about to make millions in the nfl and all will balance itself out whether it's his future fortunes or his situation leading to changes in the NCAA archaic policy. Now, though, dawns a new era comprised of high doses of the chubbdozer and sony and I'm pretty god damn fired up about it. See ya next year, threesus, in that beautiful teal, gold and black. Praise be to based Bortles.

After a couple of years of Chubb and Michel, we will be saying, "Remember that Gurley guy? He was OK, but we all thought he'd be the next Herschel."

Does it make a difference if it was a non-contact tear as was Murray's vs a contact tear as was Marshall's. Murray sure seemed to come back quickly. He was ready for the spring combines.
