Very similar results and programs. Mack lasted 4 years after Bama beat them in the BCSNCG. It's been 3 season since Bama beat LSU. Will next year be the season that determines his fate? Would another 3+ loss season cause LSU to make a move? What do you LSU fans think?

Miles is a thousand times more likable than Mack. Mack was a do-gooder CEO puppet.

Mack Brown had 0 conference championships at North Carolina and 2 at Texas (1 national title)...over 15 seasons.
Les Miles has only been a head coach since 2001 (13 years):
-Beat Oklahoma in Norman
-Won 3 SEC titles
-Won 1 national title
-Appeared in 2 national championship games
-NEVER HAD A LOSING SEASON (Brown went 5-7 in 2010)

Not so sure about that, both are likeable about the same. Les is more eccentric, zany or quirky. Both are players coaches.
Both tenures are eerily similar. Both won a BCSNCG and followed up with a loss a few years later, then kind of floundered around living of off the goodwill of the first.

I am not that sure either. At one time he ranked with the best recruiters in the country. He won at Chapel Hill.
Then he had one of the best teams in history at Texas.
One does not have that success if he is an arse. At least to the public and recruits.

On gameday or after a loss, I agree.
But you should have been able to read about Saban's behavior when he was recruiting Clowney. Everybody close to the situation liked him.
And I have met Spurrier. He is definitely no arse.

He's a likable arse, I agree. I like him. But a likable arse is still an arse.

Mack won his national championship with his own players. Miles is a better coach imo but he did get a power boost off of Sabans recruits upon arrival.
Miles slightly better.
