What's up with our CB's? I know this wasn't the reason we lost today, but does anyone else find it disturbing how few picks we come away with? I'm pretty sure our LB's and DE's have more picks than our CB's. Sims threw some balls that were primed and ready to be picked off, we didn't capitalize and frankly we haven't all year. I'm not sure if it's coaching or talent but we need the ability to generate turnovers in the secondary.

I said something similar during the game today. Besides the Redmond pick at the end of the Arky game, I don't think a DB has had a pick since the Auburn game.

I was thinking the same thing during the game. I do think some of our guys back there might lack the instincts for that position. Things that you can't really coach. We need to do something though, because we make it way too damn hard on ourselves.

Speaking of ball hawking db's, Banks had a sweet pick 6 today against the Redskins

It's because they are going for tackles instead of busted plays.

Our defense played a good game. Our punter and play calling lost that game

Even though Sims had a high completion ratio the first half, I think our secondary actually played pretty well.

We had good coverage on the long passes and didn't really give up big plays.

I agree though that the DBs have been in position to make interceptions but just haven't been able to make the plays. I actually have more confidence in our linebackers to get the INTs.

In your CB's defense , Collins calls lots and lots of zone coverages so unless the ball gets tipped, QB takes a shot, over/under thrown ball or there's a misunderstanding between QB and WR on the route you're not gonna be in position for a lot of INTs... Not your CBs anyway.

The system works though... Yall have given up over 2900 passing yards this season, most in the conference by over 300 yards... But you're sitting at 9-1 so the defensive play calling is getting the job done.

Well one problem is they don't have very good hands apart from Redmond. If you watched the UT Martin game I bet we dropped at least 4 INTs right into the hands of our CBs.

Yeah that's my issue. I understand we are in zone but there are a lot of missed balls that come to them. Our defense is so under rated it hurts, Bama only put up 23 offensive points and averaged starting field position at like the 35.
