I was about to start a thread, but I'll post this here.

Brandon Allen was put in a position to succeed tonight, by Chaney or Bert or whoever, adjustments to the offense was made.

We finally saw the pock being moved/bootlegs, which helps BA tremendously, he's pretty decent at passing while on the move.

The crossing routes! Again helps him with the TE crossing while the WRs go vertical, huge gains in the passing game from this.

Passing from under center, not just from the gun!

No complaints, but I'm not going to eat crow about this, possibly a hamburger if it is brought to me by Chaney's twin, Grimace...

Allen played up to his 4 star potential tonight. Have to give him props.

There were way less "WTF CHANEY?" moments tonight. Passing on 3rd and 2 in the 4th was the biggest one. I firmly believe Chaney had called some bullshite sweep or something when we were on the 1 and Bielema called that timeout. Allen still had some passes that were cringe-worthy, but overall it was definitely better than the norm. Just goes to show we were never that far off of being able to win these games. Literally just a handful of plays away.

That roll out throw on 3rd down was absolutely perfect, on that TD drive to put it away 17-0.

Best drive of the year.

Yep. That play was fantastic, and that drive saved the game and quite possibly a bowl berth.

Allen also looked really good in rollouts and throwing on the run. Plus, that would-be TD pass to Derby was perfect had Derby kept himself an inch more in bounds.

The 3rd and 2 shotgun/pass call late had me pulling my hair out, but other than that and the second straight Wildcat play that Collins fumbled on, Chaney called a pretty decent game.

Also, to Hatcher, Henry and Derby and their litany of clutch catches.

I guess he wasn't lying when he said he reassessed his play calling during the bye week.

Loved the screen to Marshall!

I still want those wheel routes back in the offense. Jwill was deadly on those as a Freshman.

Overall I was very impressed with BA's performance overall tonight. I only saw him throw into the stands one time. He looked very poised and confident which is definitely refreshing. That 3rd and long play where he rolled out of the pocket and delivered a perfect pass was probably one of his best throws all season.

I've been one of his supporters the whole time (probably comes from living in Fayetteville and watching him through high school), and I thought he had a good game tonight.

The one WTF moment was on our drive to end the 1st half. He rolls out and has the back (I think it was JWill) wide open about 8 years away with two defenders between them. If he gets a little air under it and leads him, we score another touchdown going into half. Instead he sort of flicked it out and almost got pick-sixed.

I almost gave into the Allen hate on that play. Luckily, the rest of the night was really good.

Well if we want Brandon to play his best games we need to keep the pressure off him and I'm not just talking about the other team's pass rush. Put into positions where he has to throw 40 some odd times against a defense expecting the pass he's going to collapse.

Last night, thanks in large part to our defense, we didn't make him try to carry the offense, we ran plays that played to his strengths, and with the addition of those TE crossing routes we gave him some get out of jail free cards. If we want to keep having success this season then we need to stick with what worked against LSU and Allen should do fine.

He played good. Hopefully he can take that confidence to the Ole Miss game and do just as good

BA did better, his WR's let him down a couple of times though. TE okay was good.
