Biggest question I have about this game is why the frick are we playing it on a Monday?

I guess it will be part of the Labor Day slate. I remember opening with Memphis on Labor Day in the past.


It will seem like an eternity waiting all weekend for that game.

This; also the game being played on a Monday will drive away quite a few of our fans I imagine Florida State will outnumber us 3 to 1.

By that time there will probably be 8 teams in the playoffs. Either way SOS matters. Yes it is the SEC but teams are being penalized for cupcake OOC schedules. Just watch if MSU losses this weekend, they will drop. They didnt play anyone in the OOC schedule.

I love everything about this, except I wish it was a home-and-home. Getting to play in Doak Campbell as well as having the FSU KD's in town…. nice.

But, if I were to pick a neutral site game, this is perfect. It's not antiquated like Dallas, Houston or Atlanta. It helps us recruit Florida. Also, it's going to be a fun trip for us Rebs.

The fact the game is on a Monday will be sweet, too. Everyone will be watching us.

Scheduling a school like Florida State for an opener shows respect from the Noles. If we scheduled Boston College for a neutral site game in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, it would be as bad as the death penalty. But playing FSU in an OOC game at a neutral site is big-time.

I'm….just…so happy about all this.

This isn't directed at anyone, but why would anyone not be excited about this game?

The Ole Miss football team I plan to see in 2016 is a elite team. A new normal. Playing another top 25 team is what I expect.

Why even sit around thinking about losing? Maybe some don't expect to be elite. I'm sure LSU fans weren't disappointed in playing Wisconsin. They expected to win.
