Salute, tribute to the late,great Jack Cristil

it really is a shame he didn't get to see this season. The man was an absolute icon of the SEC. Lets face it, over his tenure he saw some pretty bad games. Sure,he got some good ones,too. But he did some clinkers.
Now his beloved Bulldogs are #1 and 'Gameday' will be at a State game for the second time this year. Unbelievable.
I always loved driving down for a night game when State had an afternoon game, or driving home from a day game when State had a night game. Mississippi State football with Jack Cristol was "must listen" radio.
I know he'll have a good seat Saturday when Mississippi State comes out in their maroon headgear, white jerseys with maroon numerals and white trousers with maroon piping (always got the biggest kick out of his uniform description

I've been thinking about him this season too. I farm so most Saturday's are spent in the field in the fall. He was always pleasant to listen to.
