While looking over the Tiger Stadium expansion, I noticed the rectangular shaped structures on the roof. Any info on what is contained inside of them? Why was the design choice of using multiple unconnected buildings used? Why is the structure on the left painted white instead of taupe like the other ones. Also, are the purple seats just basic seating or do they have access to the club level "lobby" as the seats/section below have? Thanks for any input as I love all of the unique characteristics of the various SEC stadiums.

They just seem a little random, from a fan of architectural uniformity, especially with the color variances. I like the expansion, overall, so pardon this small critique.

The Legos look like shite, we know. The purple seats are club level and yes they access the club lounges. Alleva mentioned that they looked into ways in the future to not make the Legos look like shite but it's not a priority ATM because our football ops needs upgrading ASAP.

LSU fans hate them too, and someone on the Rant posted that LSU has responded that they can and may be addressed going forward with further work?

We shall see..LSU promised the same of future reworkings at the Box down the lines and outfield..still holding breathe for next phases.

Exposed plumbing elbow to now Lego blocks..LSU's goof-ups..at least they're improving!?

While we are at it- why aren't the sideline upper decks in TS uniform? Haven't been in a while, so maybe this has been addressed with the addition? They used to curve around to the endzones at a radius, but did not match the other side. Always thought that was weird but maybe it was in anticipation of a future addition?

Do you mean why is one deck a shorter? Or why do they curve on the south end? They maximized the two upper decks capacity by curving towards the empty space behind the south endzone which is where the new expansion is. So yeah I guess they planned for it. It doesn't curve on the north side because there's no space to spare.

To be honest, I can't answer your question. Never have been quite sober in TS! But I think I understand- they only curved on the south side due to space concerns? Ok got it, but I just don't remember seeing any constraints on the north side that would have prohibited a symmetrical UD? Again, I haven't really studied this issue sober.

The stadium isn't just the stadium there's buildings on the north side beneath the oaks that would have to be redone and the trees would be gone and the stadium may get too close to the road and mike may not get enough sunlight

Interesting stuff. Cheers!

I guess y'all just kind of punted on the redevelopment of those north areas outside of the stadium. That makes sense, but obviously that can all be overcome should the need arise down the road. Similar to what Bama did with the deke house and a few other buildings the last expansion.

Those are the bathrooms and concession stands for the new upper deck and one is part of the elevator shaft. We can't poor alabama or mississippi trash using the same bathrooms as us rich coonasses.
