Some of my brethren are having a hard time with this one. 3 heartbreaking losses to one team (2008, 2012, and now 2014) on top of what happened in 2011 has taken its toll on some fans. I wasn't happy about the game at all, but I thought a lot of our young guys really stepped up and showed they can play at a high level, and that has me excited for 2015 and 2016.

I thought Alabama played with the heart of a champion and Blake Simms did a great job making plays when Bama had to have them. Bama got some breaks but you took advantage of yours while we shot ourselves in the foot at the game's most critical juncture. We definitely "owe" you quite a bit of payback at this point, and hopefully we 'll be able to get some next time but congrats on the win and another great LSU-Alabama game. I'd like this to turn into a real "rivalry" but we're going to have to start pulling our weight soon.

Agree for the most part, although it might also be said that both teams shot themselves in the foot...but us not as much. Of only one foot instead of both. Dropped passes, wide open receivers missed, chip shot FG missed, but yeah, Sims got it going when the game was on the line. Bottom line is that this game was another example of exactly what this series has become...big boy, physical football between the two most physical teams in the conference.

As an old guy who likes the UA/UT game I am definitely ready to give it up.

I had to admit to myself this weekend that I look forward to the UA/LSU game more than any other. I definitely like what the game has become, a rivalry in my eyes.

eta - I am definitely concerned about next year. I wasn't until this game, but I am now.

Tigers are definitely a team to look out for next season and beyond. I think you put the team out there against Mississippi State again, it would be a completely different game this time around.

I definitely consider Alabama-LSU a rivalry, and it's the one I most enjoy watching. Iron Bowl is pure stress, not really fun honestly. Alabama-LSU is my kind of football.

I enjoy this game more than the IB b/c it is such a physical game that I feel bruised and worn out after watching it. It has become a rivalry to me, not yet a "heated" rivalry for me like the IB or TSIO but very very very close.

Congrats, you have a very good team going forward and next year is really going to be a fun and brutal game. I do hope you never get payback tho.

Classy post and thanks for stopping by

Always look forward to this game and pull for the Tigers anytime they play unless Bama is on the other sideline. Just enjoy the physical brand of football both teams bring to the table. Had a great time tailgating with Tiger fans and Death Valley is an awesome place to be when the sun sets in the western sky! Roll Tide & Geaux Tigers!!
