Controversy Regarding Kiffin's Visor from TSIO?

And now for some weirdness... Some of you might recall, Kiffin gave his visor to a girl at the end of the UT-BAMA game. Security tried to take it back thinking the girl had stolen it or something until eventually they let her keep it. Now, Jimmy Hyams (a Vol beat writer who is pretty tied to the university and as close to insider as you can get) is interested in the visor for some reason. Vol fans often joke about Hyams for tweeting stories out after other reporters because he's over-careful and a bit of a university lackey in that he won't confirm things until it's 'safe' to do so but when Hyams does say something it's as verified as you'll get and sometimes he investigates and breaks stories well before others because he is pretty connected. Note: Hyams isn't the kind of reporter who stirs shite up at all.
Well he just tweeted this out:
@JimmyHyams: I know potential can of worms I'm opening, but if you're the dad of girl that got visor at UT-Bama game from Lane Kiffin, please contact me
I really don't know how a visor could possibly be a potential can of worms but there is some speculation about it out there involving his fondness for coeds in his time here and what that visor might provide or verify. ***NOTE THIS IS NOT MY THEORY BUT SIMPLE REPORTING OF THE SPECULATION THAT HAS OCCURRED IN RESPONSE TO THE TWEET***

I really don't know how a visor could possibly be a potential can of worms but there is some speculation about it out there involving his fondness for coeds in his time here and what that visor might provide or verify. ***NOTE THIS IS NOT MY THEORY BUT SIMPLE REPORTING OF THE SPECULATION THAT HAS OCCURRED IN RESPONSE TO THE TWEET***

That's what most of us are saying "WTF?" The only speculation that even makes sense is that someone wants it for paternity testing. Otherwise I can't figure it out at all. Why would there even be a story here? Hyams is about as opposite of sensationalist as you can get.

I saw this tweet and I just have no idea what this could be about at all.

Maybe he just wants to do a story on why a TN fan would want the evil Lane Kiffin's visor?

Thing is I can't see how that would open a can of worms. A few Tennessee fans shook Kiffin's hand and no one cared or wrote a story about it. This long after the fact I can't figure out what there is to tell. Dude gave his visor away to a kid? That's not a story.

Why would he want to talk to the girl's dad? Why not just talk to the girl? Does Lane kill coeds ala Craig James and hookers? Does Lane have the herp and has been sued using the pseudonym "Ronald Honduras?"

I have no clue who it was given to, why Hyams wants to talk to them or thinks there's anything worth exploring here. What's even weirder is Hyams is about the most conservative and boring journalist you'll find. He wouldn't sneeze if he thought it would be deemed sensational or controversial. I don't think he's written anything that anyone would deem the least bit 'exciting.'
IOW, his reporting is about as dull and dry as it gets.
