last night and they can skip this season, if UK doesn't take the title Calipari needs to be fired. They have more size than any team in college hoops history. Reminds of UConn women that has every five star on it's roster and rolls to women title every year.

40-0 is the only acceptable outcome for this team! I don't see any SEC team within 20 of them.

But it is basketball and teams lose. UK will probably do that a few times.

But yea, they are possibly the most talented team in the history of the league and have Final Four experience across the board. It's a terrifying combination for opponents.

Last night the 12th man on the team slamming it home near the end was pretty indicative of what this season can look like.

They have AT LEAST 10 NBA draft picks on their team.

Their 5-10 players would be a top 10 team talent wise. They have an NBA team in college.

And they have experience in the tournament.

Just unfair.

I would just like to note a non-UK fan claiming 40-0.

In all seriousness they've looked good but it's been against NAIA teams. We won't get a true barometer of where they're at until the 18th when they play Kansas. I still think they drop some with their OOC and there's always someone lurking in conference to play spoiler. All you can really do is hope that if they starting losing that it happens before March.

ETA: Duke, Wisconsin, and Arizona could all very well give them trouble in the tournament.

I think the biggest difference this year is you already have a pretty good chemistry of a core group. Seems a lot more like the title team, except your experienced core guys this year are Top 10 draft picks and not just solid college players.

Really should be scary good.

Their second five are literally better than anyone's starters in the league.

If they lose a game I'll be shocked.

Agree on league games. I think because they are experienced now they won't have one of those slip up games. I'm guessing they drop one or two of the OOC games.

They look good. I'm trying to balance my football depression with excitement about the upcoming basketball season. I know this is the case most years, but I had HOPE for the football team a month ago.

Just wondering how it feels to be so much better. Do you actually get any joy out of winning, or is it more a sense of relief?

Id imagine anything short of a NC would be considered a failure.

Same shite was said last season. 40-0. No one gonna touch them. Let's just see what happens before handing out titles.

That was with a team with everybody being new players. They managed to return that team(who made into the finals once they gelled) and added 5 more NBA players to it. They will go 40-0 or 39-1

Tubby ran the train and finished undefeated, so the bar is already set. To pass Tubby, Cats would have to not only go undefeated, but go to such an excess that it invokes the ghosts of the Iron Men of Sewanee.
