I honestly don't think Mushamp saved his job with the UGA win. It's clear he just isn't head coach material.

When the decision to fire him is made, we should really consider if he'd be willing to return...our defense needs a fiery DC to match the energy of Gus and co.

I like Muschamp as a defensive coach, I do. Nothing against him. But, everyone is saying part of EJ's problems are that he doesn't have enough guys to run his scheme.

Say we do get rid of EJ and replace him with Boom, then what? Boom wants to run a 3-4. Do we really have the players right now to run a successful 3-4 defense?

If not, how many years will it take of shoehorning guys recruited to play in either a Chizik/Roof/VanGorder or Ellis Johnson style defense into a 3-4 system until we are able to recruit enough players for it?

He ain't coming and honestly look at the progression of his D's as a DC.

I love the fire in the guy, but honestly, what has he done other than be a big name Saban disciple. He has a reputation for great defenses, but how many of his teams in the past 10 years have really had good defenses.

Also...I think he and Gus on the same sideline is a TERRIBLE match.

I don't think a change will be made. Let's give CEJ some time...get rid of these problematic players and develop some freakin' talent.
