Hearing him say "nekked in my bed" is the most disturbing thing in the world

You sound like a try-hard.

That's awesome. I am planning on going to his concert in St. Louis. That's still a few months away though.

I always tell people it was Billy Ray Cyrus that fricked everything up.

It's been dead for years.
Has it? I think there's still plenty of good country if you include alt-country. The biggest problem is that people try to identify country by the singer's accent rather than the actual music. Most of the country I like comes out of the mid-west. The music is pretty much the same they just don't sing like rednecks.

That's actually a pretty good fricking point, IMO.

I think his last album was sober. He is sober now. Has only been making music for four years really. I dislike 95% of country, but he is good. Check out his interview on joe rogan's podcast.

I agree with this. If you look past Nashville, there's a ton of great country/alt- country music out there.

Jason Isbell
Cory Branan
Austin Lucas
Jon Snodgrass (and his band Drag the River)
Joey Kneiser (also his band Glossary)
Ben Nichols (his solo stuff and Lucero)
Justin Townes Earle (son of Steve Earle)

You just have to be open to the fact that Nashville isn't all there is and it's actually the worst there is right now.

I saw him in Hattiesburg last week. I loved him before. I don't after.

He sang all the good stuff, but made several snide comments about wanting to get out of Mississippi and the crowd and didn't even toy with an encore. Disappointing.
