They keep referencing key plays and showing highlights from the previous LSU-Bama games. Not a single one from 21-0. I know they don't own the rights to that game but it is just strange how that game is seemingly ignored by CBS.

Maybe because it was an ESPN broadcast? No idea outside of that.

What would be the point? That was a slaughter, and there were very few actual "high-lights" anyway. It was 5 field goals and a touchdown. Granted, the 2011 regular season game wasn't any better as far as excitement goes, but the other match-ups in recent years have all had more electric clips than those two games.

Probably playing up the rivalry and not being able to show highlights.

21-0 had more purpose than a rivalry game, doesn't really fit well into what they were trying to set with the atmosphere IMO. Knock out, drag out games with big plays in front of home crowds.

Because public executions aren't very viewer friendly.. Make not mistake that was an execution, plain and simple..

The whole point of the "flashbacks" were to relay how exciting and evenly-matched the rivalry has been over the years.

That game doesn't stick with the narrative.

But that kind of goes out the door when you consider they do show replays from last year.

Its not a big deal, but I think when they talk about the rivalry, they should at least included the time when they played for the national championship...

Nothing more than CBS aired all the regular season games and not the BCSCG. Probably didn't have rights to air the BCS highlights. Or didn't wanna give their competitor pub.
