and realize what an awesome, albeit sloppy, game that was last night.

Bama fans, I was shocked to see the offense you guys ran last night. What do you guys think about it? I must not have watched as much as I thought I have of y'all before last night bc I hadn't realized you changed offensive philosophies so completely. I think it's a mistake, but that's just my opinion.

The only call I questioned all night was the completion to jones on 3&10. I still haven't gotten to watch a replay yet bc I've been at work all day, but others I've talked to have said it was indeed a catch.

All in all an amazing experience and I am at least one realistic LSU fan that thinks last night was a good sign of things to come from our young group of guys.

Also that 1st play of OT was one of the best calls I've ever seen in a situation like that. What an awesome play call.

Sorry for rambling. Geaux Tigers!

Your DBs were impressive. Jalen Mills is a gamer.

I didn't quite understand the gameplan. I understand throwing to set up the run (our O-line is avg-above avg so I get it), but I don't understand having Blake drop back so often. He should be moving around to get comfortable. We also didn't tempo at all (road game Prob had to do with that).

We just seemed very out of sync offensively all night. Very much like Arkansas and like LSU in 2012.

I agree with you - LSU will continue to be very good. All kidding aside LF is a beast. Love the mentality you guys play with offensively, just glad your QB isn't scary.

Good luck the rest of the way.

i would comment on our philosophy if i knew what it was ... the one true thing i don't understand is why we don't let sims run some kind of option/zone read at times ... he actually made some really nice throws that weren't caught because of the excellent coverage from lsu's endless supply of great corners ...

I wanted us to run more. And finally we did, and we fumbled. I don't know shite.

I didn't have much of a problem with the playcalling. We had a few drops and a lot of bad throws to wide open people.

Since this in one of the few same threads on here, I'll comment on this one. Great job, gumps! Very hard fought win. Cooper is a full grown man. I'm just tickled shitless with my p&g glasses still on at how our young team has progressed. 5 weeks ago, we were looking at a 4 win season according to some. Really looking forward to next year.

Now I hope you lose out...

An anomaly offset but the shitty defense last year.

Yep - if you had putt Mett and those receivers on this team it'd be a terrifying group.

But that sort of mishmash could be done lots of places.

As long as Saban and Miles are coaching the teams, you can pretty much bet on all the games being like last night.

The teams are built the same, the coaches share the same general philosophy, and both are loaded with talent. It just all adds up to slugfest after slugfest.

Yeah and teams that can put together both in a season are the ones that win championships usually. It's not easy to do.

Balance really is the key to winning.

These games, no matter how sloppy or hard to watch, test each teams mental toughness consistently unlike any game I have ever seen. It's unbelievable.
