Let's get this grind going against Bama this week.

I have an opportunity to go to this game, but I'm going to Vandy and the Egg Bowl and that's a lot of traveling for 3 weekends. Plus, I'm so nervous about this one, I may be better off staying at home.

I have faith in my dogs; I'm just one nervous girl!

I'm actually more worried about the Egg Bowl than this week. Not sure why though.

I thought I would be nervous, but I'm feeling pretty good about it at this point. Roughly the same as I felt prior to the LSU game. Feel like we match up with Bama almost exactly like we matched up with LSU...

Jennings had a lot of really nice runs right through their front line. If he can do it, well... Dak.

Auburn losing helped out a lot. We only have to win 1 to get in. Honestly, even if we lost to Bama, we just have to beat Ole Miss. Not having to play in the SEC championship game, while disappointing, would just remove one more hurdle.

If they struggle like they have against every other competent defense (OM, LSU, Ark), it's going to be a bloodbath. Tampax can't stop the bleeding that will take place in Bryant Denny.

Toughest part for me is just gonna be getting through the week. I mean, it's only Monday for Christ sake.

If we lost to Bama, wouldn't we both be one loss teams with a Head-to-Head game which Bama has a W over us?

That's what he said.

We wouldn't play in Atl, but still have a tremendous chance at the playoffs based on strength of overall resume...

Would rather seal the deal this weekend though rather than leaving it up to a committee decision. If we were to lose to Bama this weekend, and assuming they won out from there, that would put FSU, Oregon and Bama in for sure. Then we would be in a dogfight with potentially a LOT of other good one loss teams vying for the last available spot. Would think we would get it if we win in Oxford but I could also see them giving a spot to the Big 12 winner as well.

For sure. If we win Saturday, we basically lock ourselves into the playoff and guarantee we are the only SEC team there. Win Saturday and the trophy is on a platter.

How can you assume that those teams win out though? That's a peeve of mine.

Last week, #3, 7, 8, 10, 15, 16, 17 all lost. 4 legitimate playoff contenders went down just in last week's games, including one as a 17 pt favorite at home. This week, at least one more falls -- and 2 easily could with FSU only being a 2 pt favorite @ a surging Miami. Point being, it's crazy to try to sort it all out this far in advance. Almost without fail, it sorts itself all out in a very acceptable and fair fashion. Everyone has tremendous hurdles left. Even TCU @ improving Texas, which is the easiest remaining road to the playoffs. We make it thru with one loss, we'll be in the playoffs because we will have the "best" loss along with the "best" wins among the one-loss teams. We will have lost to a top 5 team on the road, beaten 2 top 10 teams on the road, and beaten 2 top 10 teams at home...

Mullen may throw Freeze a bone if we already have the West title wrapped up.

You guys should definitely be rooting for us against Alabama.

Nah, their only real shot at ATL is for us to lose to them and Bama and for AU to beat Bama but lose to UGA. They would win the 3-way tie.

I purchased this ticket back in the summer.

Had no idea this would arguably be the biggest game is Miss. State football history.

The elation I will feel if the Bulldogs come through will be amazing
