Would North Dakota State play us?

Since we're gonna keep playing FCS teams once a year as long as everyone else is doing it, it'd be a nice change up to have the best FBS program play the best FCS program.

if we lose then what......we get nothing out of playing an FCS team, so why play a even more difficult one.

Exactly.
Horrible idea. We gain nothing when we beat them and we lose everything if we lose or they give us a game.
I'd rather us play our one big game, then smaller sides from other conferences (Power 5 included).

We gain nothing, but it isn't like they're going to win. At most they play with a lot of heart and make it a game until halfway through the second quarter.
It'd get a lot of attention despite them being an FCS team.

I HATE THAT WE'VE KICKED HOME-N-HOME WITH BIGTIME SCHOOLS TO THE CURB. actually, they kicked them to the curb with anyone outside the sec. such an integral part football for all time. but apparently no longer needed at uofa. sad, just sad. kinda wimpy too.

Part of it is because we're not going to intentionally put ourselves at a disadvantage.
As long as everyone else does things close to the current method, so will we. We play the SEC schedule + a tough OOC every year.
I'd love to see us go to 9 conference games, play 1 tough OOC game, and restrict FCS games.

I have a close friend that went to NDSU. He went to game day when they were there and said there signs everywhere saying, and at one point they were even chanting "We Want Bama".

I'd rather play them than Western fricking Carolina.
Why would we not want to play them? Please don't say that we'd be in a no win situation. They are quite respected. Wouldn't even mind playing up there.

That is arrogance.
You don't know what will happen and that last thing we need to do is put ourselves in a bad predicament.
We get nothing and lose everything. It literally makes no sense on any level. They aren't even close to us. Absolute lose-lose for us and a win-win for them.

i know fans that love bama that sale tix because of cost to go vs competition level. when your kicking a home-n-home with michigan st to the curb and the replacement is a rent-a-win kent st. smh. its sickening that we are this scared of 1 extra real competition game. i guess its just all about the money. sad, just sad
