Anybody know? Weather shows 42/27 with 50 percent of snow.

Didn't we have a horrible snow game in the Liberty Bowl? The field was plowed as I recall but it was foggy and something like minus a million on the field. I think it was East Carolina.

I was there as well. The folks live across the river so it was an easy game to make. I think my arse froze to the bleachers.

Ecu kicker was mvp
We were in the first couple of rows around the 30yd line and he was practicing right below us. We game him heck the entire game.
Felt bad for the kid following those horrible misses, and he hadn't missed all season prior to this, or so ECU fans said..
but... We did our part for the team

That Liberty Bowl game was absolutely miserable. They made a fortune off of hot chocolate. I was in the marching band that year and could tell that the field was much colder than being in the stands; the wind coursed through the field from endzone to endzone because of the way the stadium is built. Not surprised that everyone played like shite that night.

My favorite part.
quote:
Two East Carolina players got into a fight at the AutoZone Liberty Bowl’s annual awards luncheon Thursday at the Hilton Memphis. Witnesses said the table almost flipped over as the two players — confirmed by an ECU spokesman as junior running back Jonathan Williams and freshman redshirt running back Leonard Paulk — fought over a dessert. One player had the other in a headlock and was hitting him, according to witnesses.

Lmao me and my lady each had I think 3 cups of hot chocolate. That game was miserable indeed, so damn cold and windy and then the absolute egg we laid and somehow won.
We sat in the endzone with the wind in our face too.

Stopped at Walmart and bought a bunch of hothands on closeout. had them in pockets all over my coveralls, etc.
And this couple (hot chick) walked in behind us to their seats dressed like they were out for an evening on the town. Short skirt, low cut blouse, etc. CRAZY... Drunk as a skunk and complaining about the cold . I gave her a hothands and she offered to kiss me, then buy me a beer... I said, "How bout a hot chocolate" she obliged gladly!

I was there, and I was dressed like I was preparing for an Arctic expedition. But the number of women I saw there in a sweater, leather jacket and decorative scarf was unbelievable.
Back to the OP, as I recall, the Liberty Bowl was just cold - it didn't snow.

Saw on twitter earlier that 1993 was the last snow game in Fayetteville.

After the game, we were stopped by a beligerant ECU fan. Turns out she was Petey the Pirate's mom (the ECU mascot. That b**** tried to fight my wife as we were walking past.
Crazy game

I don't know if it was SNOWING, but the Ole Miss game in 1998 was pretty f'ing miserable. It was something like 30 degrees with freezing rain/sleet. Probably the only time I've ever left a game at halftime.

Despite a few cups of hot chocolate I've forgotten most of the ECU game. I think my brain may have froze somewhere in the 3rd quarter and didn't melt out until an hour or so after I got home and plunked myself into front of a space heater. I do remember the ECU fans were a fairly surly bunch.

Coldest game I've ever attended.
I believe they froze Tusk to death on the drive home Sunday.

The cold front is blowing in today. Crazy wind in Fayetteville. Starting tomorrow we will have lows in the mid 20s.
Gotta think the cold getting here early helps the Hogs. We will have almost a week to acclimate but Lsu won't get here until Friday.

my first razorback game was that snow game in 93. I think it was against auburn? I was like 9 years old and had a blast.
