I wonder what happens to these guys who decommit if someone who is just an absolute stud takes that job. The things said about the Alabama job (not in a great recruiting state, place of the past) pre-Saban are somewhat similar. Obviously Bama is closer to GA/Fla/Tx etc. but Michigan has always been great in California for example. If either of the Harbaughs go north who knows

The narrative is that all his friends are committing to Mississippi State. However, they don't flip our commits too often (ever).

He might visit Mizzou as well as we have his teammate from last year on the team in Brandon Lee. I believe he is visiting Oklahoma this weekend.

The crystal ball is such a knee-jerk reaction. It means nothing.

When used correctly it's useful. You're right though, a lot of pickers are reacting to meaningless circumstantial evidence when they CB someone.

Leo was recruiting Kirkland to OM big time last week and is very tight with a lot of our current players. Leo flipping to State is not a concern.

I can't tell anymore. Every time a recruit drives past a campus these crystal balls start lighting up. A week ago they all said Ole Miss.

a Tenn beat writer, a Tenn sports radio host, and D Warren. Wouldn't call any of those note worthy predictions.

So you wouldn't call David Johnson's CB's exactly note worthy either...

does anybody go off of one person?

I typically look to see who has CB'd someone to us and the more that aren't rebels the better.

As far as Kirkland is concerned we got 9 CB for him in a 2 day period just about 10 days ago. Only 1 rebel I know of (DJ).
