What coach do you regret not hiring for your football/Bball team?

Has to be a coach that your program talked with. MIZZOU's was not hiring Bill Self for basketball and I need to research and see if Bill Snyder was available and was contacted during any of the coaching changes with the football program, if he was that may have been the biggest.

I think a lot of Gamecock fans will say Gregg Marshall after Odom left in 2007.

Gregg Marshall was at Winthrop, an in-state school, and had made it to the tournament 3 years in a row.

Instead he goes to Wichita St. (we know the story there) and we got Darin Horn.

With that said, I've heard, that Marshall rubbed people the wrong way here in the way he carried himself but from the rumor mill I think he was pretty interested in coming here.

Mark Richt.

It worked out pretty well with Pinkel, but I think we'd likely be a little ahead if we'd gone with Richt.

Mike Anderson or Bill Self after Nolan was fired.

Anybody for our basketball team for this year.

Pearl would probably have been a good one. But there are others, too.

Looking back I can probably think of someone, but I like who we have in both for now.

Doubt it. They are pretty similar to me. Id rather have Pinkel. He's a better fit for us.

I don't think Snyder was ever contacted by MIZZOU but you have to wonder if he was the MIZZOU coach where would the program be? He goes to KState and takes a program that was purportedly the worst team in a power conference and builds it up to where it's actually winning the BIG 12 multiple times and may be looking a playoff spot this year for the NCG. Snyder is a true son born and bred in MO.

Darrin Horn instead of Greg Marshall might be the worst decision in the history of coaching decisions

Fisher and MSU talked after Sherrill, not Croom.
