Right now, it looks like Jones, Mincy and Reed dominate the CB rotation. That leaves us with only one player with real CB experience going into 2015 which has me worried (since we don't seem to ever be elite there)

We keep rotating players away from CB to S and it has me worried that we are relying on a single JUCO + guys who can't break a 3 man rotation (that isn't elite)

2015: CB1: Jones
CB2: Bridges (JUCO)
CB3: K.Melton/K.Bessent

2015: CB1: Jones

Holsey could move back to corner.

Boundary Safety: Derrick Moncrief or Tray Matthews
Field Safety: Rudy Ford, Stephen Roberts
Boundary Corner: Jonathan Jones
Field Corner: Tony Bridges

Josh Holsey moves back to cornerback, and proceeds to be the first off the bench. After him, Kalvarez Bessent, IMO. TJ Davis, Joe Turner and Kamryn Melton fight for the other playing time.

IMO, he does.

We will likely rotate four at safety between Rudy Ford, Derrick Moncrief, Tray Matthews and Stephen Roberts.

Maybe, but this year it doesn't help that we don't have any kind of a pass rush. I actually thought our DBs have progressed since last year.

warau covered it, but I don't really know if I like him at STAR.

Honestly, I think Derrick Moncrief would be a good player for STAR...

It will look shaky like it has for a long time now. We can't recruit that position for anything. Prob going to cost us a national title this year.

Chris Davis was very underrated. At CB2 we definitely progressed. Which is scary considering just how shaky the play has been this year and that we were worse last year

Forget CB, what about WR? Sammie and Duke going pro. Bray, Louis, and Uzamah seniors. Marcus Davis is the only one with meaningful game time left.

Ricardo Louis is a junior, IIRC.

Not really. He had a great deal of experience by his senior year that benefited him and helped mask some of his deficiencies, but he never rose above being a 3* talent.

I think he moves to corner after this year.

Or I hope he does anyways.

Improved, hopefully. Our DB situation is the lone weak spot on our team........and it pisses me off every effing game.
