This week's committee:

1. MSU vs 4. Oregon

2. FSU vs 3. Auburn

How would you guys feel about taking on our 2 previous NCG adversaries?

Obviously we'd benefit from the revenge factor against FSU, but would be on the other side of it for Oregon.

ETA: And in staying true to my CAUTIOUS optimism, what MSU outcomes are our best path there? (Obviously we have to win out)

A MSU winning out and winning the SEC
B MSU winning out but losing to east
C MSU losing to Bama or Ole Miss but winning the SEC
D MSU losing one vs Bama or Ole Miss & losing to SEC E champ

Obviously E would be MSU losing to OM & Bama and us competing for SEC. Looking more for input on other 3 options

Atlanta is more important to me than Pasadena or New Orleans.

So you'd rather have 2 losses but play in ATL, than undefeated in Pasadena or NOLA?

I admire the sentiment but disagree with it.

And as someone else said, we control our destiny for a NC shot moreso than the SEC Champion shot. Strange as it is but our chances of making playoffs are higher than making SEC championship. Both require winning out, but SEC championship requires MSU's schedule to play out a certain way.

On top of all that, NC > SEC Championship. Used to, they were indistinguishable because one required the other. That isn't the case these days (2011 as flukey as it was, I still agree with Bama fans that they came out on top in that arrangement)
