If they were 4th in the committee's rankings last week, and they sort of "lost" in a toss up game with a freak "accident" against the No. 3 team in their rankings, why should they move at all? Don't mention the loss to LSU the week before because the committee already concluded they were 4th WITH that loss the week before.

I figure #7 or 8

The committee knows best, so put your money on a big drop.

They are gone from contention

Will be even worse when Arky beats them.

You have a fair point, in a vacuum, but that's just the way these polls work. They have to be reactionary in some way.

Because they had a chance to lock their spot for the playoffs in, and they didn't. You have to give someone else a chance.

back to back losses arent a good sign, no matter how you try to spin it.

Committee seems to be ranking tiers according to number of losses, then quality of opponents. It looks like it going to be better for teams to not schedule tough OOC games the way this is shaping up.

Bummer. I like the home and homes with Oregon, Oklahoma, etc.

Because the object of the game is to win. Not just to come close.

They gave them the benefit of the doubt with the first loss. The second ends their run. Sorry.

They lost a tough one on the road, but were still a good 1-loss team having beaten Alabama. Then they screwed the pooch at home against Auburn. And it was two in a row. You can't penalize teams that were behind them with one loss when you have two losses.

because Bo Wallace isn't on the committee, so his bitching about how the "won" isn't going to fly. And if he was on the committee he'd probably leave early anyway, so he wouldn't be a part of the final vote

Yea, me too. But if Mich St had scheduled a cupcake instead of Oregon they would be #3 and in control of heir own destiny.

We lost to an unranked LSU team and Auburn in back to back weeks. We'll probably drop somewhere in the 9-13 range.

We lost. thats it. We have 2 losses. No 2 loss team should be in the playoffs while there are many 1 loss team still out there
