Alabama is very physical in the front seven and very good at stopping the run as usual. 1st in the SEC by a wide margin (second nationally I think).

DLine in and of itself might be the most talented (if you go two deep, which I think you need to do when evaluating Dlines) that Bama has had in the Saban era. LBs are about as good as ever stopping the run, but are not as good in pass coverage as some past Alabama units. I really think the way to exploit Alabama is to attack the LBs and the middle of the field with the passing game.

Bama DLine has always been weak against the inside trap.

Florida gained 107 yards on the ground against Bama's D-line. They gained 123 against LSU.

Ole Miss gained 76 yards on the ground against Bama's D-line. They gained 137 against LSU.

How good is Alabama's D-line? You tell us...how good is LSU's? Because statistically, Alabama's was better in those games.

Plus, LSU's O-line gave up 4 sacks in those two games. Alabama gave up 2.

these are sweet stats but they are pretty irrelevant to the question the OP asked.

your stats show how bama stacks up to LSU against the two schools, but the question was how do yall stack up against the florida and OM Dlines.

and Bama got beat by OM and LSU beat OM... This game can go either way and will be won by the team that makes the least mistakes (i.e. Turn overs)

I think it's the best it's ever been under Saban, but I haven't seen the stats recently

Solid replies are good to see. I agree Bama's strength is their DL. Middle of the field (which LSU rarely exploits) and the secondary is the weakness. Saban's defenses are typically weakest up the seams. The question is, can LSU effectively throw the ball.

Bama's strength is stopping the run, which is LSU 's strength. Will be interesting to see this matchup.

Probably spot on. More than likely this game won't get out of hand. More played like an NFL game, unlike how many SEC games play like high school games now, so each possession is premium. Mistakes will be costly for either team.
