If we could redesign Sunday’s 1B again, we would run the photo smaller. We would also use a different headline above the photo.

Seriously? Seriously? Holy balls, even if, in some twisted way, you think it was okay, anyone with half a brain should realize that an apology is needed for a thousand different reasons.

I guess the Montgomery Advertiser or the Birmingham News will be getting my money from now on.

LINK

*For the record, as many have mentioned on this board already, the editor is a Bama grad and the new sports editor is an Ohio grad. No Auburn affiliations.

According to Auburn fans in the other thread, no Auburn fans were/are purchasers of this publication.

No one I know takes them seriously; I've got a couple Sunday sports sections from last year framed and I had been keeping up with the ones after wins this year.

Also, that this publication is run by the REC and was clearly done at the hands of Bammers on the inside just to make Auburn look bad.

Regardless, the way every barner but you went to a deflection mode of pinning the entire thing on Bama was interesting.

I'm pretty sure the biggest issue was that people were saying that the OANews represented "Auburn"

Which isn't even remotely the case, for what it's worth. The old sports editor, who is now in Virginia, was the only person there with a lick of professionalism. As you can now see.

Actually the huge majority of businesses in Alabama are owned and run by Alabama grads, so.....

That's really sad that you take being an Auburn fan so serious.

Actually, its pathetic.

I'd put that below "10k+ posts on a sports message board" in the "obsession" department

ETA: Also, let me redefine "framed" as "three stuck into a single plastic poster frame from Walmart"

I think it's pretty ballin'

It was said that the paper was sold to people around Auburn, meaning those who live in the area would be the audience, you would be able to find this paper in say NYC.

Instead of a reasonable sound explanation that you provided, instantly Bama's fault, Bama tryin make us look bad, deflect, deflect, deflect.

Not surprised consider the editor of the paper is a Bama alum.

When people are linked to unfavorable things by association, they are forced to be defensive. You linked the newspaper's actions to Auburn students rolling Toomer's when Bear Bryant died even though people stated that was untrue.

One thing you don't get... Probably as many gumps as Aubies in opelika. Maybe more. So the papers audience is not a predominantly Aubie one.
