If your team doesn't make the CFP do you care about the bowl?

I think that CFP will have to expand because as interested as I am in maybe making the taxslayer bowl not sure everyone agrees. The none CFP bowl games will be even less attended in my opinion. Curious what others think.

Yes. Bama could be 8-4 or 10-2. Big difference in the bowl and the season.

I guess let me expand- if your team doesn't make a bowl controlled by the CFP ranking. So even if you aren't top 4 what if you don't make one of the other at large or what other we are calling the other bowls tied into the CFP.

I want Bama to go to most prestigious bowl possible so we can practice beating ourselves one more time.

How is the fan mindset any different from previous years with BCS vs. non-BCS bowls?

definitely I want the team to get practice.

I am just saying if it isn't the Sugar, Orange, Peach, Cotton, Fiesta, or Rose will there be many good matchups?

So in terms of are you willing to spend the money to go to one of these non-CFP affiliated bowls what is your answer?

the creep of two additional bowls

My questions could the interest decline in the other bowls? and will that decline be enough to have a financial impact to create change?

It depends on where the bowl is. I'll shell out a few hundred dollars to watch a repeat of the 2010 Capital One Bowl.

I think the matchup takes a hit with two top teams now in the CFP bowl line up.

I could be over blowing it. Maybe it will be very similar to years past. I think honestly it is a good thing.

I love bowl games and bowl season because of the cross-sectional matchups.

I wish the names were kept traditional though.

For example:
Peach > Chick-Fil-A
Citrus > Capital One

Any bowl game would be nice.

Hurts to say that.

Well, you're in luck because they are now the Peach Bowl and Citrus Bowl again.

I care when Auburn plays Samford. I cared when in 2012 when we had no hope. Why wouldn't I care just because we didn't make the playoff?

Now if you're asking would I care what bowl we're in if it's not a part of the playoff, then I would say yes just because the better bowl we're in the better team we play.

They need to pull some gimmicks like Auburn's offense. Line IRS agents up at the 50 during halftime and have people kick them in the nuts.

Yes, and you're an idiot if you don't.

Bowls help in recruiting, even small ones.

You also get that extra month of practice with your returning players for next year.
