Spread is only 7 points but the O/U is 60 points
Something seems amiss?

This is Old Dominion @ Vanderbilt.
The Charleston Southern game was 21-20 Vanderbilt win
Say Dores get 21 and win by 7. By default ODU scores 14
14 + 21 = 35
35 < 60

Safest bet ever to take the under.
Vanderbilt won't be able to score and Old Dominion will call the dogs off on them early.

Vanderbilt will win today and win the rest of their games this season.

I thought this was gonna be a question about which team has better mathletes

Other then a bad loss to Marshal ODU has played well on offense this year. They've hit a bit of a skid in the last four games, probably depth issues after making the step up to FBS this year, but are still scoring at a good clip. While I think Vandy beats them fairly soundly today I wouldn't bat an eye if ODU drops quite a few points on them.

I don't think the under is quite that simple. Old Dominion for the season:
Total points
69 won by 13
80 Lost by 12
20 Won by 14
87 Won by 3
69 Lost by 13
70 Lost by 42 (Marshall)
77 Lost by 7
117 Lost by 15 (Western KY)
So, out of all of their games this year only one failed to be under 60 total points.
Vandy is averaging 17 pts per game but also against some good SEC teams. They put up 34 against South Carolina. Old Dominion is averaging 33 pts per game with only two games under 28 pts. 14 against Marshall and 17 against Eastern MI. They are allowing an avg of 40.5 pts per game, and they haven't exactly played a tough schedule, and that includes a game where they held Eastern MI to 3 points. If you take out the E. MI game, they are giving up 46 pts per game.
ETA: Vandy is giving up 33 pts per game on avg, but again, that's against some good SEC teams.

I hope you didn't take the under that seemed to be a lock...??

Nope, however if Vanderbilt does not give up the fumbles and 2 easy scores while not allowing that last min ODU score, deduct 21 points.
42 + 28 = 70
70 - 21 = 49
Games like this make you wonder just who knows what before a game. My guess was a 40 - 50 range but kept the cash in the wallet.
