I agree. I don't care who you pull for, when you do things that affect people outside of the game, it is something special. Good for Coates! Great story.
Kudos to you to seeing that.

Is this some kind of terrorist encoded message. What's up with random capitalization, commas, double prepositions and lack of capitalization of proper nouns? Not to be a grammar Nazi, but you seem to be doing the bad grammar thing like someone on LSD.

I will interpret.

Since I follow Sammie on Instagram for kicks and giggles, I know what he is talking about. There's a young white girl (12 or younger) who is seriously ill. Cancer seems to be culprit I believe. Anyway, Sammie has become a brother to her, and there are several pics of her at AU games and in AU gear. It's pretty nice to see.

Good on Sammie. I like it when we hear positive stories about players. Most of them are good kids doing their best.

This has a fewer grammar issues:

There are some good ones...

It’s almost indescribable, because she goes from just laying in the bed not feeling well … at the same time she gets excited and gets dressed — it gives her that spark of life that’s kind of missing sometimes,” her mother said. “I can see it in her eyes sometimes, the sparkle and the gleam that she had before she ever got sick, it brings it back for her.”

“ It’s like a kid on Christmas morning,” Dylan interjected.

Coates has worn the lime-green wristband, one of several he has for various different reasons, every game since receiving it, rarely taking it off.

“ It motivates me every day,” Coates said. “Just to see this little girl give me her wristband and it means so much to me because of the meaning of it — the way she’s fighting — and it says you have to keep faith, so that’s what I’m going to do, keep faith for her and for myself.”

There are good kids on all teams but, as we all know, the only ones talked about are the few bad ones. That's human nature but still a shame.

To be honest, I didn't know Alabama residents even had the option to continue their education past that point.
