Were Alabama fans right about Mark Ingram all along?

Alabama fans have been consistent in saying that Mark Ingram has the talent and skill to play in the NFL and the majority of his lack of success has been due to Sean Peyton's inability to use him correctly.
At this point, I think it is safe to say Trent Richardson lacks the big play ability and vision to be a center-piece in the NFL. He looks more like a fullback. None of us were ever ready to give up on Mark though because it was evident that the talent was there if he was just given the opportunity.
It seems as though Saints fans are finally on board and happy with him as well.

The biggest difference maker the last two games has been Mark Ingram. He's got a lot of heat over the past couple of years for not living up to his draft pick, but this is a guy who needs to be fed the ball all game to stay in rhythm. He said as much in his post game interview. He basically said he gets stronger as the game goes, likes to wear out the defensive line in the first half and get big chunks of yards in the second half.

Ingram has played great, and I have always liked the guy.
...but a lot of it has been about our commitment and focus on the run game since the end of last season/playoffs that has continued into this year

It was a blessing in disguise last year when PT was out. It showed us what Ingram could do as "the man", instead of having him in for running plays 3 out of 4 snaps and telegraphing it to the world.

Believe this is his option year so he is being productive.

He has had two good games in the most miserable division in the NFl. congrats.

I'm starting to see why other people view Bama fans as self-entitled egomaniacs.

you have got to be a radiologist. When do you have time to see patients with all the posting you do?

As a Saints fan, I am cautiously optimistic that Ingram is going to take over the run game and be an every down type back.

According to the CBS announcers, Ingram said that he slimmed down some and spent the offseason adjusting to the new style of offense and he realized he couldn't keep playing like he was at Bama. However, I think CSP changing philsophy as Brees ages helped as well.
WHO DAT and frick BAMA!

He had 30 carries for 100 yards this past game, that is pretty miserable.
He has shown flashes in 2 games this year, but this is a guy drafted in the first round umteen years ago and has been a bust for a while now. Showing up several years late for a couple of games means nothing, I hope we can get something for him.

If you can correctly tell me the number of top 40 scoring defenses Alabama has faced this season, I will.

Took your boy 30 carries to reach 100 yrds last night in a pass first offense that spreads the defense. Lacy is the only back y'all have produced that's not overated.

Ummm he use to average around 2 yards a carry and was garbage. He's turned it on lately.
