Dan Mullen has Mississippi State on top of the football world. At home, he's just trying to be dad.

Megan says she is genuinely happy here and that it’s the first place their family has lived where she’s had friends – people to spend Halloween, Christmas Eve and Easter with, who have kids around the same age, and can go out to dinner together. Her parents even retired to Starkville from Pittsburgh.
“It’s really hard to make friends where you are, because your schedules are so crazy,” she says. “And maybe that’s because I’ve always had a job everywhere we’ve been until we got here, but we’re kinda funny because our life is so wacky.

Gone faster than the sound of a cowbell.

Like all coaches who are planning on leaving publicly admit that months ahead of time

If he's offered a job at a better school, of course.
There is no guarantee of that though. Florida looks like they don't want him. And, Michigan would have to make another commitment to move back towards a spread type offense that simply didn't work the first time.

What else is she supposed to say? They sure do have nice trailer parks in Starkville, my friend just had new one delivered last week.
Coach wife speak means nothing!

his agent probably had that written for negotiation tactics. Millions of dollars changes a lot. And Florida can pay 3x what state can.

Lol no. He's staying here. He doesn't want to go anywhere else

Retired people generally prefer Florida TBH

What a loser mentality. Settling for State.

I'm sure they "can" but they won't. I can't see UF paying anyone $12 million per year, and certainly not Mullen.
He may leave, but it won't be about money. At least, it won't be about his compensation.

That's why mobile homes have wheels.

I genuinely feel bad for Moo St. because I like you guys. But if Mullen didn't leave for Florida after the success he's had this year, he is insane.
Florida is a top 5 job, easily, in the country. Not to mention, he could wreck shop in the SEC East.
Dude's gone pecan...
