Two biggest threats are Arkansas and Bama.
Ole Miss doesn't have enough offense to match whatever State musters against their D.

Bama won't blow State out, but will be favored to win at home. If Arky beats Miss State then State beats Bama, I beleive.

State will have 1 or 0 losses after egg bowl.

Yeah, I don't get it. Who exactly has Alabama beaten this year that's of any consequence?

So they'll man handle the team that beat y'all but lose to y'all?

You lost to LSU...I'd be worried about Arkansas if I were an Ole Miss fan. Then again, I'm not sure what you really are.

I think if we beat Bama, State is gonna beat by Bama

If we lose to Bama, State would probably win

I second that. Arkansas will be fired up as hell. I think that could be a dangerous game for State. Personally, I hope they win out

If LSU cannot win the west I would like to see MSU win the sec. Could possibly lose to Bama but I think they beat ole miss.

I personally believe they lose to Alabama in Tuscaloosa and a better than 50% chance they lose to Ole Miss in Oxford. Ole Miss game will be close but Alabama game will not.

The wheels are going to come off Ole Miss if they lose this weekend.

Which they probably will - too many injuries and of course Bad Bo.

The Bama game is probably 40/60 Bama. If we lose it, I think we win the Egg Bowl. If we win it, I think our chances of winning the Egg Bowl drop significantly.

Towards the end of the season, incentive is a huge part of which team will show up. Us beating Bama would all but secure us the SEC championship therefore the Egg Bowl would not be as important. Lose the Bama game, and the Egg Bowl becomes vital to stay in playoff/SEC championship contention.

Even if the wheels come off Ole Miss this weekend, or even if they don't win another game except Presbyterian before the Egg Bowl, ruining State's season by beating them would be incentive enough. Injuries should be cleared up by then. You never know what will happen in that game.
