At first I thought their struggles were funny but now I kinda feel bad for the guy.

He's not getting fired after 1 year.

I didn't realize Vanderbilt fielded a football team this year.

IMO this is indicative of a coaching change coming soon. This will be the last year Derek Mason coaches at Vanderbilt.

So they're going to give him one year? That seems counter-productive for a school like Vandy.

Realistically how good are my chances if I submit my resume to Vanderbilt for the HC position? 20-30%?

My playbook consists of asking for Dan Mullen to send me a PDF and picking random plays. I feel like I can get to 4 or 5 wins doing this.

Sounds like he is trying pretty hard.

I think this is a big deal. Blood is in the water for Derek Mason. Just thought the Rant should know. He's not fulfilling his requirements as Vanderbilt's head coach.

Sunday though, he cut off the coaches show. Because of Vanderbilt's losing record he has made the decision to not let Vanderbilt media and fans access the show.

He's assuming that Vandy has any fans left and if there are, they watch his show.

Mason is not gonna be a good head coach. Everytime hes on camera he looks like a deer in headlights. He doesnt have the swag to handle the prime time. He gone.

Nashville's Media is huge. They cover the predators, Vanderbilt football, basketball, baseball ect. Nashville is a national market.

They have requirements?

I mean, it's not like he's trying to enroll, is he?

And you forgot who gets more press in that market but who will definitely love hearing about this. Mid-state Vols will eat this up. That's who will generate the clicks and eyeballs.

He looks and sounds lost. I really thought he was going to be a great fit.
