This concerns me because I think scheme has plenty to do with it.

They won't win another SEC game with Allen starting and playing most of snaps

I'm anxiously awaiting the nickname his family is going to trademark.

What makes you think Hill is better? I don't think there is enough evidence either way.

The problem is that A&M is stuck in the Big12. They still don't seem to understand that they need a defense in this league. They think final scores like 9-6 and 10-7 indicate bad football teams.

...well that, and aggies are just soft.

Aggies understand. But it's easier said than done to have a great defense. Sumlin needs to leave more scholarships open for defensive players for sure.

No, they don't understand you need a running game outside of a scrambling QB.

And this is more than likely while he'll be shown his walking papers sooner than later

Sumlin needs to hire a DC that's worth a shite.

I mean, this is a great resume for a defensive coach...

1991–1996 - Youngstown State (OLB/ST/LB/DC/DB)
1996–2000 - Minnesota (DE)
2001–2004 - Ohio State (LB/DC)
2005–2009 - Marshall

...if he wants to coach in the B1G.

Yeah that's kind of like the coach saying "My scheme is great. Clearly I'm not the problem" And then he kind of places the blame on the players and their effort (which may be poor but you don't convey that in the media)

I don't

I think it has far more to do with Kenny Hill being scared to throw the ball if he doesn't see the WR as open as he'd like. This is probably due to his accuracy problems and lack of touch.

While Kyle Allen has been a bit pick prone the one thing I can give him is he does make quicker decisions in the pocket than Hill.

It sounds crazy but perhaps something so small really could be the main reason the offense has bogged down so much. It kind of reminds me of when Sherman was rolling with McGee at QB and the dude for whatever reason would wait entirely too long to get it out of there which consistently screwed the play.

Not saying Hill's better
Allen is not ready for what's about to hit him in sec play this late in the season
