When someone says "I'm a huge ______ fan", the image of some Jabba the Hut looking dude with cheese dip dripping down his shirt comes to mind.
Another one is, "I'm a die hard Alabama fan".
I guess this one bothersome because of the Pat Dye era at Auburn. I remember the "I'm a Dye hard Auburn fan" bumper stickers. So I could never be a die/Dye hard anything.
Name some things that you hear people say that annoy you.

When people use science as a noun instead of a verb. Science is the search or action to gain knowledge. Way too many people try to talk as if it is an institution.

I had a buddy in college who hated being called an "African American". He'd say "I'm just an American. Do people call you English American? Or Irish American?"
Fair point IMO
