Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Gameday only visit a site once per year at most?

I think that's the case nowadays.

They used to just hit up the biggest games of the year.

They went to Ohio State twice in 2003, USC twice in 2004, USC twice in 2006, LSU twice in 2007, Oregon twice in 2007, Texas twice in 2009, and Clemson twice in 2013.

Blame OM for losing then. That's the main reason they aren't back to Oxford.

OM lost and the producers didn't feel like fighting the SEC bias crowd again IMO

When has ESPN ever given a shite about someone's bias?

There's enough negative press about it now and OM lost to a perceived weak team by ranking so the decision was pretty easy. You can't go to oxford after that game. Why fight it?

It's not a knock on Ole Miss, but I'm sure it wouldn't look good if ESPN Gameday were at an SEC location every week.

Finebaum said yesterday that if Ole Miss had beaten LSU Gameday would have been there this Saturday per Lee Fitting.

I actually think it has a lot more to do with coaches of other conferences crying about ESPN's "SEC bias". And they've been pretty well camped out in the South majority of the season.

I think it's all the contenders in the SEC West right now that makes them look at things like this. Ole Miss / auburn is definitely a bigger game, but then what? Baton Rouge for LSU/Bama, Tuscaloosa for Bama/State, Athens for auburn/UGA...etc. They have to spread it around a little.

10-1 State vs. 9-2 Ole Miss for a spot in a decent news years bowl, which is like a national championship for a mississippi school.

Run defense vs run offense on Saturday. Time will tell.

I wonder how much more $$ the SECN will make this year compared to the launch over on FoxSports1.

I think Ole Miss' run defense is better built to stop auburn than LSU. Stopping the spread is not the same as stopping a traditional power running game, and Ole Miss' lack of size but abundance of speed and aggressiveness will match up better with auburn.

But that may be moot with all the injuries, especially with the quicker pace of auburn and the need for subs. Ole Miss may be a victim of bad timing when they face auburn.

Robert is fine. Cody isn't. I'm more worried about the secondary now if he's as banged up as I think.

Not to mention it would be their third Ole Miss game. But I guess they hate Ole Miss having covered us twice.

Is the loss of Denzel irrelevant now? He was a key player for you last year but I understand he was used more as a backup before going down to injury this year.
