Gene Chizik won a National Championship at Auburn.
If you add that Ted Roof was the DC then I think you win the contest.
I honestly believe that could be the most astonishing fact in college football history. It's the equivalent of two brain damaged meth heads that never cast a shadow across a schoolhouse door past 6th grade winning the Noble Prize in Physics for inventing a safe, reliable time travel machine equipped with a calculator capable of dividing by zero.

Has any other school had 2 NFL head coaches leave to coach at their school? Carolina has Spurrier.
Ray Perkins left the NY Giants to come to Alabama, and of course, Saban left the Dolphins to take the helm in Tuscaloosa.
Lou Holtz came from the Jets and Petrino from the Falcons.

How many national championships?
I'll bite on this. I'm totally fine with giving up 1941,1964,and 1973. You have to understand, Alabama didn't decide to just claim these years. They were voted in at the time by the governing authorities. My point is this, if you researched every school that has NC's from years past, you will find many schools have "cloudy" resumes.
Case and point: Tennessee. They claim 6 NC'S yet they lost 3 of the 6 championship games they played in. Alabama still has more "legitimate" National Championships than any other program.

Ole Miss actually tried to allow James Meredith into the school with open arms, but Kennedy wouldn't allow it. He coordinated with (and bribed) Ross Barnett and had the riots staged to allow Kennedy to get the press he needed to have the Civil Rights act passed.

Vanderbilt has 19 wins over Alabama. Ole Miss has 9.

Auburn is 7-2 vs Alabama in Tuscaloosa

Despite only existing for 14 years, the LSU football program is 15th all time in wins. Pretty impressive.

A testament to Cam.

Why would you give up 64 and 73? Those are AP/Coaches.

For real though, I'm not sure. I guess Kevin Faulk is above Bo in rushing yards I think
Correct. Faulk ranks 3rd in SEC history and Bo is 4th. KF also had a much longer and more productive pro career due to Bo's injuries. No denying Bo is probably the greatest athlete in SEC history. BTW LSU has 3 of the top 7 rushers in conference history. No one else with more than one in that group.

Vanderbilt has a losing record to every single SEC school except Auburn (20-19).

So? They were still AP/Coaches, and y'all certainly aren't alone in that regard.
50 Oklahoma lost bowl
51 Tennessee lost bowl
53 Maryland lost bowl
57 Auburn banned from a bowl
60 Minnesota lost bowl
65 Michigan State lost bowl
70 Texas lost bowl
74 Oklahoma banned from a bowl
Not to mention teams that refused to play in a bowl at all (37 Pittsburgh, 43/46/47/49/66 Notre Dame, 52 Michigan State, etc).

This is the reason I hate Brett Favre. I think he was an Ole Miss Plant.

Oh I know. At least we're not like Auburn, claiming Championships while on probation.

That LSU fans would storm the field after a win over Ole Miss. Or this, that so many corndogs could fit up Katy Perry's crack.
