I think they would have without a doubt.

It is probable that any secw team with 1 loss will be in, regardless if conference champion or not.

A loss that late? Maybe. That team was number one going into the IB.

What did they have last year come bowl selection time, 1 ranked win or two? The committee has shown they actually go by resume so i think Bama would have stayed home

Just looked it up.

bama beat 16 and 21 with no conference title

MSU beat number 7 with a conference title

baylor beat number 11 with a conference title

I dont think BAMA makes it. They have the lowest ranked win plus no conference title

Committee has shown this year they care more about wins clearly.

I think the late loss kills them, without a conference title. Its going to hard for any team to get in after losing its last game.

I thought I had heard that some of the committee members say Bama would have made it.

I think who you beat should matter more than who you lost to when it comes to one game. Anyone can have a bad game and lose to about anyone but if you've beaten multiple good teams then that should matter more. Plus it's easier for a team to get up to beat a top 5 team vs the other way around. Multiple losses is another story.

Who in the Hell cares?

What gives with you people and your "what if" scenarios?

There are a lot of similarities building toward the egg bowl, just like last year's iron bowl.
