I do think about what might have been a lot, though.
We still would have sucked in 2012 and I doubt he would have outperformed Mason in 2013 so I doubt we missed anything.

His Dad? Not in the picture. Dyer was a thug arse punk that wouldn't even sign autographs for kids and his uncle is nothing but a pimp.

You're probably right. I've thought that very thing. That doesn't mean that Dyer himself couldn't have been productive. We've all seen good backs on bad teams, before.
To clarify, it's a little difficult to think he broke Bo's freshman record -I know there are other variables involved- and we never really got a chance to see him run at Auburn all four years.
That's his fault, but it would have been nice to see what the entire career could have produced.
The little shits name is Michael D. I have to like him, even if he is a bonehead.

I'm thankful it worked out for us and for him.
Unlike some of you, however, when I speculate on what might have been had he stuck around, it's more on the possibility that he would have made the difference in the Arky and Vandy games in '12, and maybe kept the TAMU, UGa and Bama blowouts a little closer (say, -70 points combined instead of -130) giving the PTB just enough incentive to let Chiz (and Lefty, and Troop and Lupe and the rest of the sorry crew) stick around another year, and it would have REALLY gone to hell in '13.

Every time I hear Michael Dyer's name I think of this sign from Game Day 2010 poking fun at that Florida(?) player texting his girlfriend "Time to Die".

I hope Dyer rushes for 300 yards, 2 td's then punches Jimbo and Jameis right in the pussy.

I'm not too excited about opening against Louisville next year in year 2 under Petrino. Our D better come correct in game 1.

Best AU back since Caddy?
Dyer or Tre?
I'll take Tre..
Saw a tweet..thought it would be a good question here.

Tate was one of my favorites. Loved the way that kid ran the ball from day one.

Tate was probably the most talented back we've had .

Lol me and you both.... Chris Rainey I think.... that's one of the GOAT gameday signs IMO.

He was 220 ran a combine 4.4 with a 1.49 10 yd split. If it weren't for injuries he would be top tier in NFL

Wish we could get front four pressure like ULs gotten all night.

Tate was damn good, but Dyer had more pure talent, imo.
Anyway, to piggyback off what I said about not being too excited to play Louisville to open the year next year earlier, I just looked at their depth chart and they get every starter except for Dyer back on offense next year, including transfer Jaquay Williams. DeVante Parker is a Jr, so he might go pro, but if he's back, they're going to have a ridiculous offense next year in Petrino's second year.

I'm impressed with FSU's kickoff. They kick it short of endzone and constantly drops the run back short of the 20. At least the last couple I have seen.
