Honestly, I'm not worried about this. This actually makes me feel a little better about his game. I think UGA is a better football team without Gurley. When he's in, they feel the need to feed him a certain amount of carries and it takes plays away from the rest of their offense. Don't get me wrong, he's an amazing player, and now we have to game plan for him too, but I think their mojo is better without him judging on the scorched earth games they have played since his suspension. What say you?

Gurley doesnt scare me. Chubb scares me.

Sony Michel scares me. Dude is gonna be a fricking beast for a couple years.

I don't see Auburn's or UGA's gameplan changing whether Gurley plays or not.

Yep. It's six in one hand, half a dozen in the other. Nothing changes in terms of gameplan I imagine.

Gurley will always struggle with endurance and the fact he will not have played will mean more Chubb anyway who is a fantastic runner.

I say he is their best player, by far, so of course it would be better for AU if he were out.
Their success without him has been based largely on turnovers and are kind of fluky and generally balance out. They aren't going to keep forcing 5 a game.
This news, plus the fact it will be their first home game in over a month with a shot at a national title on the line will make that a wild, wild atmosphere in Athens on Nov. 15. *Assuming they win their next two.

So the guy averaging 5 and a half yards a carry scares you more than the guy averaging 8+?

I think it is funny how the high moral leghumpers are now spinning to lessen the impact of what Gurley did.
They really have put themselves in a moral dilemma with all the BS that they spewed towards us over the last few years.
I am enjoying it to be honest. Dawgs can kiss my arse.

I'm worried about it simply because of the morale swing it gives the dogs.
We knew before the beginning of the season that Athens and Tuscaloosa would be the toughest atmospheres of the year. And we have not played great in tough atmospheres so far (Manhattan, Starkville). This just makes it worse.

Except for Clemson, which is Clemson, Gurley was rb that got 79 yards against Auburn and then was the rb when they lost to Nebraska and South Carolina.

I think it'll be alright. I think we found our offensive mojo last week, and our defense sucked but never gave up. We've got resiliency.

Gurley has always been sort of delicate. I think Chubb is the tougher back.

Chubb is a tough and durable back. Gurley has mega talent but has horrible endurance.

They both are ridiculously good talents . I think their lack of a passing game is more important than any RB they end up throwing our way

I agree with you. Especially their passing game, but with our pass rush we may just help their QB look all SEC with the time he will get to throw.
He isn't that good of a QB to be honest.

Unless he can play defense, it wont help them

I expect our offense to be at full song by the ugag game and agree with Lanier about the humper defense being the problem in athens. The dog defense will be their undoing on November 15th. Book it

Their defense is not going to be able to stop Auburn, and they don't have a Murray to help them late.
