He is being graded as a first round pick in every mock I have seen. He is suspended for 4 games and would only have a few games of eligibility left in which he could injure himself. I could see the team angle and wanting to help your teammates out but he has already proven that really doesn't mean a whole lot considering he was willing to take cash for autographs and knowingly putting his eligibility at stake. I say frick the NCAA young man. Go make your millions.

Depends. But I agree, he is not coming back after this year, and at a certain point, he needs to look after his own interests.

There is a chance that he actually enjoys playing for Georgia, likes his teamates and wants to win championships.

If Gurley abandons UGA,. which cost us the Auburn game or SECG.. he will be the most hatred player at UGA. Fans and playes will turn on him. He will be known as Thug Gurley.

When it first broke, I thought that if he missed 3-4 games and then came back, it would be a poor decision. I was basing that on him being the workhorse for Richt in an offense where he was 30% of the firepower.

With UGA suddenly discovering an offense outside of Gurley, the same concern might not be there. Plus, he may feel some guilt. But for sure, I wouldn't be worrying about stacking up huge numbers on lots of carries considering I won't win the Heisman and there are other backs to help.

From a monetary perspective, sure. But from a player/teammate perspective, absolutely not. He wants to play for his team and his brothers and there's a really good chance we're 8-1, a chance to lock up a trip to Atlanta, and our destiny in our hands to the playoff when he returns. We'd have a lot to play for and I doubt he'd turn his back on his team like that. And for you dipshits that are going to chime in saying "he already turned his back on his team", save it. Any player that gets in trouble you can say that. What he did is far less egregious in everyone's eyes but the NCAA.

I'm glad youre not gurley then.

We can potentially be 8-1 ranked around 8 or 9 going into auburn, controlling our own destiny and a shot at the natty still on the line.

If I was Todd Gurley I would have left a long time ago. If you can't abide by the rules you are not legally required to play college football.

You're assuming he cares about such things.

All that has been proven is that he wants money and wants it now. Why would he all of a sudden have a change of heart. He may not want or may not be able to pay his portion of the penalty.

Sure he may want back, but it would less of a shocker if he didn't.

I'm just being like Todd. I am looking out for what is in his best interest.
