You have earned your position in the playoff rankings. Good to see the committee recognizing the incredible strength of the division this year. It's going to be a wild final 1/3 of the season.

Playoffs start this week. Put Alabama in the mix, they also control their own destiny. Looks like two west teams could make it.

This is why I don't really care about getting more than 4 teams in. The SEC is it's own playoff. The regular season is still fun and meaningful. shite can be shaken up in 1 weekend.....

Good luck to the contenders the next few weeks!

State, Ole Miss, Auburn, Bama and UGA all control their own destiny. Win and you are in, lose and you are out.

The only exception is State who could possibly drop a game and still get in.

For the first time since this "playoff" scheme was created, I believe this is possible. I have always believed that most of the committee would fall back on conference champs regardless of everything else. But listing these rankings makes it harder to do so. They can't justify putting Michigan State or TCU ahead of these SECw teams right now...and it's going to be hard to suddenly thrust them ahead for winning their conference at the end of all this.

There is still a solid chance that we completely cannibalize each other, but I think 2 SEC teams in the playoff seems much more likely than ever right now.

Way to early to mean much.

If state wins put and Auburn wins out they'd have no choice but to put both in. AU would have only 1 loss to #1 state

This. Too many big time matchups left. But could you imagine if 3 got in.

Obviously the committee will put a lot of emphasis on who you have beaten and not as much on who you lost to. Auburn's win over K State was big, as were Oregon's win over Mich St and Ole Miss's win over Bama.

Glad Bama is within striking distance and in control of its own destiny. Also glad that the committee showed it won't fall for the Notre Dame hype.
