Meh. This team is fricked, and will remain that way for the remainder of the season. Kenny trill or Kyle allen won't fix the larger issues IMHO.

Boohoo. We were picked 5th in the west and it's better than anyone thought it would even be. Saban lost year 3 at lsu to franchionie 31-0 at home.
Let's let it play out.

I hope someone we've never heard of steps up and wins three Heisman's.
And I hope friendly aliens show up on Halloween and teach us how to grow twelve acres of rice in a Dixie cup.

I don't really have a problem finishing fifth in the west this season. I do have a problem with the guys giving up. I think it speaks to a much larger issue.

You mean to tell me we had a coach at one point that could beat Saban in a dominant fashion??? Jesus Christ are we cursed? Who/what do I have to sacrifice in order to have a good long era of dominant Aggie Football???

Sure, but it would be nice to know if Kyle is the answer for next season before next season or if we just hand the job to Kyler.
At this point I think Trill is not a long term answer. He can't make all the throws in an offensive scheme that kinda requires a Golden God at QB to run it.

One thing is for sure. I take comfort in Sumlin learning from his past mistakes. This is an entire different approach than the one he took with Piland/Broadway in Houston.

Honestly what keeps running through my head is Tard hurt both our programs taking Kliff before he was ready.

I think Kenny will get his head straight and keep the spot. Everyone keeps forgetting how bad Kyle has looked in limited action. Not to say Kyle can't improve, but the "anything but this" mentality is never good.

If Kenny Hill trots out with the starting unit to begin the game I'm going to punt a small child

Why? If he beats out Allen again this week then he should keep his job.
Now if we struggle then I would be unhappy if they don't yank Trill.

Why?
Because we have seen what Kenny can do, and it's not impressive.
Why not see what Kyle can do? Kenny has played one good game this season, and has gotten worse and worse each week. Doesn't hurt to give Kyle a shot and see if we can catch lightning in a bottle, a la Tannehill in 2010

And if he sucks and we lose to ULM?

That's just it though - hypotheticals. We don't know what to expect from Kyle. We know what to expect from Kenny, though, and I'm gonna be honest, I haven't been impressed.
What if Kyle comes out and looks like a superstar? We'll never know if he just wastes away on the sideline watching Kenny thrown bubble screens to the flat for 2 yards each play

That's not on Kenny.

I have a hard time beliving Kyle is ready to be great if he looks so so in mop up duty and can't beat out someone who is "impressive" given 2 opportunities. I know some people it just clicks when the lights come on, but I think the issue is much deeper than QB.
Posted on 10/29/14 at 11:34 am to Farmer1906
I'm more interested in the WR and OL competition. QB is not the issue.

So-so? That's generous. He looked like shite. In two separate games he came out and threw a pick in his first 5 snaps.
I won't be happy with Kyle or Kenny. frick both of those guys. Superstars in their own minds only. Put Speedy out there at QB and I'll have something to cheer for. There's a guy who actually plays like he cares and can move the chains with his legs if need be.
