Damn. He is a nice guy, but he is only serviceable at right tackle. I hope this is only for a day.

I hope they put Brandon Greene as an in line TE next to him if that's truly the case come November 8th.

I imagine they'll try a few different combos during the off week. Hopefully this doesn't stick.

leon brown did a better job at LT than i thought he would, better probably than he was a guard. if we cant have cam rob i kinda want the line to look like brown or hill, arie, kelley, bozeman or brown, sheppard or hill if sheppard is going to suck again. also, what the heck happened to brandon greene? the guy was a highly recruited LT with ideal measurables.

Didn't yall roast me for saying Shepard was mediocre 2 months ago? I'll say Arie has played ok compared to what I thought but he isn't phornemal. Where is Dom jackson? And grant hill was awesome when Shepard went out.

Mediocre isn't how I'd describe Shep.

As a RT he is ok in pass pro, but not powerful against the run. He'll get a hat on a guy, but he isn't reliable enough to really move him.

But put him at LT? Disaster waiting to happen.

Dom isn't an LT either. His pass pro is raw. Plus he had a club on his hand at practice.

Judging from the comments in this thread I am amazed Saban got the job over any of you.

You people act like Saban and his staff are clueless.

I applaud you for the entertainment value.

Shows how threadbare LT has gotten in a short amount of time.

For better or worse, the entire 3 deep from 2013 is either gone(Kouandjio and Williams) or at other positions (Greene).

Greene must have really been outplayed in the competition by Robinson to first be moved to 3rd string guard, then back to TE.

Always believed Tefleon Brown was destined to be a reserve LT due to his decent passblocking ability and athleticism(bball background), opposed to RG or RT where his lack of strength at the POA is ill fit for runblocking positions.
