I like the clear line separating 6 and 7. Which goes in line with my rankings yesterday. "the rest" and vandy
Yeah true...but I don't have a space called "the rest" on my spreadsheet

As for the exclusion of the high/low/outlier votes, we thought about it but decided against it given that the voting population is relatively small

how many people are bothered by the lack of depth in teh SEC this year? the teams ranked 7-9 in this poll are really nothing to write home about. More than 50% of the conference is probably just bad this year

7/13 spreads on three of them... I thought this poll was bias free?

There's a variety of opinions, doesn't necessarily indicate "bias."

Having said that, there's definitely individual bias, but it's meant to combine multiple opinions to reduce if not eliminate that.

If UGA loses to AU #7 can win the East by beating UK, aTm, Tenn & Arky to finish out...

and missouri is sitting there with a loss (at home) to indiana on their schedule and KY is padding their resume against OOC teams

florida did beat kentucky, has the same record in conference, and is ranked waay lower than them. the worst part is it is kinda defensible because all of the teams ranked in teh lower half of the conference are kinda terrible in one way or another

a difference in opinion doesn't indicate bias.

it probably just indicates different biases rather than all the same biases/groupthink

Yeah kinda. When some are trying to rank a group of teams that are on equal footing, a rival might end up at the bottom of the group. The small things like that tend to balance each other out.

Blatant and unjustifiable bias hasn't been an issue.

It's definite that Ole Miss will drop below LSU after this weekend if they lose, but will Auburn do so after an Ole Miss win?

Depends on the margin. As long as it's not a blowout, I don't see Auburn dropping past 5, which would leave LSU at 6...but hell if I know. I can never predict how these things turn out

SC beats UGA
ARK gets skull fricked by UGA
SC loses to AU by 7
ARK loses to AU by 21
SC has 2 conference wins
ARK has 0 conference wins
SC ranked 11
ARK ranked 9.

Makes sense.
