I agree. Coop catches everything that comes his way . Julio had some inexplicable drops.

Julio is a better blocker down field, but yes, Coop is the better receiver imo.

Mel Kiper said Julio was the best blocking WR he's ever seen.

While better at blocking, doesn't mean Cooper won't put in some good work at blocking. Seen him stone his fair share of defenders.
Julio, even with his drops, made alot of things look easy.
But Cooper makes it all look easier.

When Coop gets to the NFL I dont think he will be on the same level as Julio. But I think he is probably better in college.
eta: but with the way the falcons are playing they might end up on the same team. (but i doubt ATL would take another WR first bc they need too much)

I always thought that the Julio stone hands thing was way overblown.

Coop.
Coop is just as fast, if not faster.
More agile/elusive.
More polished, he is an elite route runner and was a great one as a Freshman.
Better hands.
Only two things I think Julio really has on Coop is power/strength and blocking.

I actually disagree here. Unless he ends up with a shite QB and a bunch of bad OCs, I think Coop will be one of the NFL's best receivers.
In a few years, the top two WRs may even been Coop/Julio.

i just think the level of talent in the NFL is so much greater. DBs are more accustomed to great route runners (although maybe not as accustomed as 10 years ago because it seems like route running is a lost art form sometimes). Cooper doesnt have the same freakish athleticism that allows him to make plays most other humans could never make. I think Julio's 40 time is probably better, plus Julio has 2-3 inches on Cooper. His route running will still allow Coop to be a really good WR, but I dont know if he will jump into the Julio/AJ/Dez category right away. I've always seen him as more of a Reggie Wayne type guy - really solid and great receiver, just not a super freak athlete like some others.
But maybe I'm wrong and Coop will show out at the combine. I certainly didnt think Julio would run 4.3 with a broke foot.

did not read article but for me it is Coop hands down. JJ was good for a drop a game and some were drops that were crucial possession down ones that hit him in his mits

I actually think julio dropped a few more balls but coop drops more crucial balls. Julio dropped lots of little screen passes but he rarely ever dropped anything down field or in the clutch. Coop was extremely clutch in the SECCG but since then he's dropped some balls that would have been game changers.
Idk, maybe I have selective memory. Both guys were great receivers. I think what puts julio over the edge for me was the intensity he played with in college. I think it really just comes down to style preference. Coop looks like it's easy for him but Julio looks like hes playing pissed off.

Cooper is undoubtedly faster and runs better routes than Julio does even now.

I would've liked to have seen Julio with Kiffin as his OC.

Cooper all day everyday

I don't know, Cooper was a 365 lb bench presser last year
