The .gif is also a point that i'm sure LSU fans haven't forgotten Mr. Sims actions from that night

Was still pretty immature imo, but he probably just got caught up in the moment.

The difference in two weeks from now for LSU is the matchup. Against Ole Miss we just had to do what we want to (run the football and play defense) and execute it well to get the win.
Against Alabama it will take LSU doing the things we haven't done well in order to win. Pass the football effectively. Not on a lot of throws, but those passes must be efficient and effective. Line up and stop the run against an effective running game. Play the best game the secondary has the entire year.
The challenge last week was to execute what we do well to the best of our abilities. Against the Tide it will be to improve in the areas we are lacking.

Yeah you're probably right, but I'm glad he did it

Prior to the start of the season I had marked this game as a pick em.
I now think LSU just may edge out Bama because the LSU team seems to be starting to gel.
Should be a very good game.

I think the game will be tough but I disagree on the team not being vintage. The D may not be on par with our best under Saban but it continues to get better at a faster rate in my opinion. So yes LSU may getting better and starting to gel but so is our defense.
The real question will be our offense because if it is on the game will definitely be in our favor. LSU does not have the offense to come from behind from a big deficit nor can it exchange points at a high rate.
In the end our defense will do what we need it to do to beat LSU but it will be our offense against LSU d that will determine the game in my pinion.

Didn't you used to be an Ole Miss fan?

It's complicated.
I'm a current LSU student and a former Ole Miss student. I'm loyal to where I go to school. I also grew up in a Bama family. So I mean, I'm really a fan of everyone I guess. Except Auburn. F Auburn.

This will be a very ugly offensive game. I'm thinking fg difference toss up. Less than 20 combined points

I thought maybe we could have a thread to talk about the game without being homers or trying to flame, but I guess that's too much to ask. Too bad.
Sensitive frick. It was only 1 post and it wasn't even bad. And you troll more than anyone on this board.
As for the game...
LSU has figured out that they can keep games close or win them by pounding the ball. LF is getting better and so are many other guys. Y'all's presumable game plan will favor Alabama though. The game being in Death Valley and Alabama's injuries will help LSU. I see Alabama winning a VERY close, hard nosed game, by 3.

Drac, we are gonna be missing our all world freshman LT. That's gonna hurt, bad. This is a game that is setting up to be a blood bath. Good luck.

LSU is always a tough Game.I knew y'all would get better as the Season progressed.
I think it will be a low scoring Game much like the LSU/Ole Miss Game.
No predictions.Should be a great Game.

LSU's strength plays into our strength on defense. I believe we finally see a full road game from Bama and LSU struggles to get any passing game going. I like Bama by double digits. With that said, I do think LSU is much better on defense than they were earlier in the year. If we play sound football, with no turnovers, the double digit win is easily there. Mess up, revert back to the road woes from earlier, and then it becomes more difficult.

IMO, it comes down to Kiffin and Sims. You guys don't pass the ball that well and we don't have the road-grading OL we are used to.
If Lane calls a great game, keeping Sims in some kind of a rhythm and somewhat ahead of the sticks, we win.
But I expect LSU to come out like gangbusters and make things very tough in the early going.

That north south pro style running game I don't think will work against Bama. This Bama stuffed the run of an Arkansas team that had a huge O line and a bruiser RB. LSU will have to keep drives going with the short quick passing game.
