That was probably their only hope for a bowl this season if they were to win vs. Vandy and Eastern Kentucky.

So we could go to some shitty bowl and get embarrassed by a B1G or Sun Belt team? No thanks.

They will probably get a waiver considering their game got cancelled.

All Florida cares about right now is Will Muschamp not standing on the sideline 2015.

So with a waiver they could be bowl eligible with 5 wins?

Haha waiver, that would be awesome. Would they keep Muschamp around for another month for a bowl game?

As shitty as they are, They probably have higher odds of getting a waiver than they do beating the Vandals.

There would be no such waiver. UF and Idaho were given the chance to schedule the game for this past weekend when both had a bye week. Each declined and declared the game a no contest. I don't think you will see anyone in a bowl selection committee give them the benefit of a doubt when there was a clear chance to replay the game.

Bowls won't invite UF because they had a chance to reschedule and didn't?

Oh boy, that's rich. Do you really think bowls are some bastion of college football integrity? Hate to tell you, but they are about the bucks.

Florida might get a waiver (those are from the NCAA, not bowl committees), but when they don't get an invite it won't be due to the football powers being offended because they cancelled a game, it will be due to this:

All we care about now is what coach is going to take over next year.

5-7 teams go to bowls these days. Florida would get an invite. The questions is, would they accept.

The fans probably wouldn't go to a bowl if Muschamp is still on the sideline, even as a fired lame duck HC. They'd definitely lose money on unsold tickets, etc.

While true, do you think anyone would be willing to pay to see a team with a losing record and cannot put points on the board? Points=exciing football. If you have a bad record and ant to be invited to a bowl you'd better be able to put points on th board.

While true no bowl invitation would be forthcomig. (I think that was his point) You appear to have addressed this point, too!

Florida will be fine in the enxt couple of years. They took a chance on muschamp, keeping him another year. they were not sure if last year was an aberration due to injuries (I thought this was th case, too) or if Muschamp was not very good.

Had they played Idaho, who knows what might have happened. And extra easy game to help get tehir feet on the ground may have changed everything. It's impossible to tell. Probably not. For whatever reason, Driskell seemed to have regressed every year he was at Florida.

Like UGA wouldn't have done the same thing... Yeah, lets play fricking Idaho and give up our bye week a week before the game against our biggest rival...

Obviously Georgia would have done the same thing. He didn't say otherwise. He was simply saying that because the decision was made there would be no waiver.

I'll go on record as saying that georgia would have made the exact same decision. You are letting your distaste for Georgia read too much into his post.
