OM fans: Did members of the 1959 team attend the game last night?

Is it true that Hugh Freeze educated the team all week about the history of the rivalry by bringing in members of the 1959 (Billy Cannon punt return) and 1972 (turn your watch back four seconds)teams?
Is it also true that most of, if not all of them have never been back to Tiger Stadium since those losses?
If so, do you think it was a good strategy to educate these young men about the history of a rivalry that only adds to the mystique of LSU and Tiger Stadium in regards to those two losses in particular? The players really appeared to be shell-shocked by the environment and looked totally intimidated. OM hasn't been in the top 5 in such a long time and have always entered Tiger Stadium in the spoiler/underdog roll in the time of the decline starting in the 60's.
I almost (ALMOST) feel sorry for the old farts if this is true. They remember and were a part of OM football at a time when it was one of the best programs in CFB.
Since those glory days, so long ago, they have had to deal with the mother of all declines for OM football and many of the problems associated with aging:
receding hairlines, ear/nose hair, urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction and the election of Barack Obama (couldn't help myself).
If they did make the trip I'll go out on a limb and predict it will be the last time they ever enter Tiger Stadium. 10-7.

We like all tears in Tiger stadium....eight to eighty, blind, cripple or crazy. They all taste good to me.
Just like chicken on a stick.
I just wanted to know if this was true and if OM fans agreed with this approach.

Billy Brewer went back a few times. I went to an Ole Miss/LSU game in the 80s and ran into a guy I knew on the 72 Ole Miss team. So, there's that.

I can't stop laughing.
Never did I think a victory over Mississippi would provide so much gold. I can't imagine what it would be like if they had won.
I live in the desert and am fully hydrated from all the tears. So tasty.

last night was like a rite of passage for LSU fans.

A lot of truth in this. A reminder of what Tiger Stadium was like when we were hungry.

So who is right about the tears? Somebody had a major fail there.

Well, since I am a doctor and I literally give 0.9% saline to patients EVERY SINGLE DAY I WORK for the specific purpose of rehydration I have to say that I am, in fact, 100% correct.
Again, nice fail.
Again, nice fail.
