Partly because the SEC has three four really great teams EVERY year .So LSU has taken a lot of big shots in a decade. LSU has played some great football in Les's 10 year tenure. They take on his persona-he's emotionally even , and the team is physical and mentally tough. They grind teams down at the end. Les 101.That's a Les Miles wet-dream. Winning in "the back half". He hates to finish in "second-place".

It's a good state but it's also a shitty stat because great teams don't trail in the 4th that often.

It's the style of play he wants. Grind out a win late after wearing the other team down. Defense, special teams, and running game. It's part of what drives LSU fans nuts. Tough football to watch but it's effective.

When they showed that Stat I didn't immediately see how impressive a record it is(was).
Barely over .500.But then I saw how much greater his record is than other Coaches.
