Got some called Daves Insanity sauce the other day. 2 drops will heat up an entire pot of red beans rice.

I like the taste of Franks the best out of those but I don't use a lot of hot sauce.

Take an empty liquor bottle and stuff it full of peppers. I grow my own Tabasco peppers, but you can use any peppers. Also add some garlic cloves, some shallot (or onion), a tablespoon of whole allspice, a tablespoon or two of soy sauce, and a tablespoon of brown sugar.

Then add boiling pickling brine. My is: 1qt vinegar, 2qt water, 1cup salt.

I add this to just about everything. The allspice is what makes it so good. You can jack it up with habeneros or tone it down with cowhorns.

Trappey's Bull Sauce, Crystal, Cholula and Tabasco are all good. Texas Pete, Frank's and Louisiana are too salty IMO.

This is my new favorite. Tried it on a whim a few months ago since it was on sale, and I haven't switched off it since.

Siracha sauce has re-introduced Asian food to me. I love that stuff.

Cholula is good.

Hot sauces are like bourbon to me. Different ones for different foods. I like Cholula and Tobasco and Crystal sauce as well. I can eat some Texas Pete. havent had the Franks or Lousiana Hot Sauce.

Thats a pretty good recipe it looks like. We make our own as well, but its just vinegar and the peppers. Will try yours.

How long do you put it up before consuming? The older it is, the better it is IMHO.

True. It gets right after about a month or so. A full liquor bottle last me about a year. It tastes the best right before it gets empty.

I can't take credit for the recipe. I copied it exactly from the Jamaican episode of Bizzare Foods. They used habeneros, but them sons of bitches are way too hot for me!
